People's Exchange and D of Elephant Shoe Studio invite you to Meld: Yoga + Artmaking! This unique offering combines sweet, gentle yoga with creative artmaking for a holistic experience. It starts with mindful yoga to relieve tension, enhance flexibility, and promote awareness. After grounding the body, participants explore various art forms like drawing and painting, using their clarity to express emotions and ideas. Focused on intuitive creation, the instructor fosters free expression and self-discovery. This session nurtures physical well-being and creativity, encouraging mindfulness and personal growth in a supportive environment. All bodies + skill levels welcome.
January Theme/Artmaking: Inward + Outward/Pendant with Fimo clay (will be baked at PEX for you!)
When: Saturday January 11th February 1st! from 11am-1pm. Please arrive at least 5 minutes before.
Where: @ People's Exchange, 639 N Callow Avenue, Bremerton WA (plenty of parking!)
What to Bring: Beautiful You, a mat + props, AKA blocks, bolsters/pillows/blankets/thick books, basically anything that will aid you in feeling good in your body. (we will have some available). All other materials provided.
Misc: 18 +, masks encouraged though not required.
Cost: $15-30/sliding scale. Two spots prioritize our BIPOC femme community members.
Scale: $15: You are living paycheck to paycheck and have trouble securing necessities.
$20: You have access to steady income and do not worry too much about securing necessities.
$25: You are able to pay for "wants" and do not worry about securing necessities.
$30: You have plenty of expendable income and hold privilege and power in our community.
Please pay at the door when you arrive. There are 8 spots available, anyone who signs up after this will be put on a waitlist.
